Artist Bio:
Dina Goebel is a mixed-media sculptural artist whose work explores the intersection of art, conservation, and consumerism — reflecting on humanity’s relationship with nature and the fragile balance between extinction and progression. Working with natural elements, found and vintage objects, and contemporary materials and technologies, she creates hybrid forms that celebrate the natural world while questioning the consequences of consumer culture.
Each piece begins with a purpose: to uncover hidden beauty, honour lost cultures, or raise environmental awareness. Through her use of contrasting materials, Dina reveals the irony of how we preach conservation yet consume toward extinction — visual reflections of our complex bond with the natural world.
Her practice merges art, sustainability, and design thinking, transforming creativity into both a personal expression and a catalyst for meaningful change. Collectors and audiences are drawn to her work for its imagination, craftsmanship, and thoughtful environmental narrative.
Based in South Gippsland, Victoria, Dina works from her studio in a restored 150-year-old settler’s cottage — surrounded by a human-shaped landscape that continually reminds her of nature’s fragility, resilience, and the uncertain future ahead.
